Leonida Keys
Archipelago
Leonida's southernmost archipelago, inspired by the Florida Keys: islands, ocean causeways and the trafficking that keeps Jason employed. The full dossier.
Leonida’s calling card and the direct heir of the city fans have known since 2002. Vice City is a coastal metropolis inspired by Miami: packed beaches, art deco hotels, pink neon on wet asphalt and stark social contrasts, from the glossy waterfront to the pawn shops two streets over.
It is the most shown area in official materials: Trailer 1 reveals it at night, the Rockstar site screenshots tell it by day, between basketball courts, ferris wheels and beach life. It will almost certainly be the heart of Jason and Lucia’s story.
For anyone coming from GTA Vice City, the comparison with the 2002 city is half the charm: the same fictional geography, twenty years apart, today’s social media world instead of 1986. The full comparison between the two Vice Citys is the right read; you can already find it on the interactive map, ready to fill up at launch.
