Practical advice: the Ultimate is digital only and its extras never touch the campaign. If nothing in that list feels essential to you, Standard remains the rational choice.

Heads up: the physical edition contains a download code, not a disc. It makes sense for collecting or gifting, not for avoiding the download.

How much does GTA 6 cost?

$79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, on both PlayStation Store and Xbox Store. Preorders have been open since June 25, 2026.

What does the Ultimate Edition add?

Sixteen exclusive items tied to Jason and Lucia’s story: three vehicles (’95 Grotti Cheetah, Shitzu Squalo and ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy), the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, weapon variants and styles, plus in-game mod shops, stores and collections. It is digital only and the campaign is identical to Standard.

What is the Vintage Vice City Pack?

The preorder bonus, identical for both editions: a celebration pack inspired by the GTA Vice City era, with Jason and Lucia in retro looks. Preordering also gets you one free month of GTA+.

Does the physical edition include a disc?

No: the box contains a download code. Even with a physical copy you need to download the full game with the console online.

Can I cancel a preorder?

Yes, per store rules: on PlayStation Store and Xbox Store you cancel from your account up to shortly before release; Amazon and physical retailers follow their own return policies.

Does preordering grant early access?

No. No early access has been announced: preloading starts on November 12, 2026 and everyone plays from November 19.
