In the aerial screenshot Rockstar used to introduce the Leonida Keys there is a detail the series’ pilots caught instantly: a seaplane flying low over the causeway, floats almost brushing the turquoise water.
Let’s be clear: “Keys seaplane” is our label, purely descriptive. Rockstar has not announced the aircraft’s name, its model, or whether and how it will be flyable. All the image tells us is that seaplanes exist in the game world, and that the Keys are their home.
The precedents are encouraging, though: the series has a long tradition of amphibious aircraft, and an archipelago stitched together by bridges is their natural habitat, between quick deliveries, sunset water landings and sea escapes when the road is blocked. As soon as an official name arrives, this dossier changes status: until then, what is confirmed is all here.
