Cyberleek returns with 25 minutes of GTA 6, now threatening the whole build
After six weeks of silence, the source of the August leaks is back. On October 8, 2026 the account calling itself Cyberleek posted about 25 minutes of GTA 6 gameplay, on October 11 a second clip featuring Lucia, and in between an ultimatum: if the cryptocurrency tied to the account reaches a $30 million market cap, the whole game goes out. As of October 12, Rockstar and Take-Two had said nothing.
What happened, day by day
Almost every outlet treats it as the same source as in August: same name, same channel, same coin. Who is behind it, a person or a group, remains unknown. We reconstructed the first wave in the timeline of the August leaks.
What the footage shows
According to those who watched it, the 25 minutes from October 8 string together very different activities: a mud bike race at the Thrillbilly Mud Club, stealing and modding a car in a garage, a first-person nitro driving lesson, a street race in Vice City and some mission cutscenes. At one point a tank spawns out of nowhere in the middle of the map, a sign of a debug menu, the developers’ internal tools.
The October 11 clip shows Lucia in a fistfight, at an ATM and in a skydiving mission through rings. These are side activities, not story beats.
The October 12 video adds even less: a few seconds of close-ups, no mechanics, no spoilers. Insider Gaming calls it “almost certainly” doctored and points to a giveaway: Lucia has a bob haircut, while in the previous day’s clip she wore pigtails, with the same tattoos. It is less a leak than bait for the cryptocurrency.
Is it real?
VGC, which watched the video, calls it “appears to be authentic”, and Kotaku writes that it strengthens the idea, already raised in August, that the leaker has access to a playable build of the game. How old that build is remains disputed: some call it a 2023 development build, others a much more polished version. We separated the hypotheses in our piece on what the clues actually say.
The ultimatum and the coin
The new part is not the footage: it is the blackmail. The October 10 notice ties the release of the whole game to the coin’s value, and gives Take-Two a single way out: release GTA 6 on real discs for PS5 and Xbox Series and apologize publicly. The demand rides on the frustration over a physical copy that is really a code in a box, explained in our guide on GTA 6’s physical disc. The market cap swings fast: according to IGN it peaked at $8.4 million on October 11, while people were pushing for the Lucia clip, and was down to $2.7 million on the morning of the 12th. Nowhere near the threshold either way.
A practical warning: fake “full build” downloads of GTA 6 are circulating, installers and disk images that at best do not work and at worst contain malware. A pirated build of the game is not downloadable anywhere, and anyone promising one is trying to take something from you.

Frequently asked questions
Who is Cyberleek?
It is the name of the account that posted around ten GTA 6 videos in August 2026 and came back in October. Who is behind it has not been made public: in August Take-Two asked a New York court to order Microsoft and Discord to hand over data tied to the account.
Does the October leak contain spoilers?
Yes, according to Kotaku and VGC there are mission cutscenes and story spoilers, although nobody mentions major twists. If you want to reach November 19 knowing nothing, stay away from social media.
Can you download leaked GTA 6?
No. The “full builds” going around are scams, often with malware inside. The leaker has threatened to release the game, but has not done so.
Will the leaks delay GTA 6?
There is no sign of that: the release is still set for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
