Game progress
The progress you log on the map and tracker is stored in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device. We cannot see it and it is not sent to any server. If you clear your browser data, progress is lost: to move it to another device use the sync code or the QR in the tracker.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, the email address you provide is used only to send you site updates. Delivery is handled by an external provider acting as data processor; subscribing requires confirmation (double opt-in) and you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. Your address is never sold or shared with third parties for other purposes.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses no profiling cookies, runs no advertising and shares no data with third parties. To understand what works we use aggregate statistics with Matomo, self-hosted on our own server (not an external service).
To count visits, Matomo sets one technical measurement cookie: it is first-party (this site only), lasts at most 13 months and is not extended on each visit. It exists solely to tell how many people visit and which pages they read. Your IP address is anonymised, there is no cross-site tracking and no data leaves our server: this is why it falls under the consent exemption for audience measurement, and why you see no banner.
Your choice is stored only on your device (no account) and applies from now on.
