GTA 6: pre-orders, editions and official prices, plus preload from November 12

On June 18, 2026 Rockstar revealed the GTA 6 cover art and the pre-order date; on June 24 it announced the prices; on June 25 pre-orders opened worldwide. Here is everything that was announced about editions, prices, bonuses and preload, keeping what Rockstar confirmed separate from what the gaming press reported.

Two editions, two prices

GTA 6 ships in just two editions, with no Collector’s or multiple tiers:

• Standard Edition: 79.99 (dollars and euros alike).
• Ultimate Edition: 99.99, that is 20 more than Standard.

Both come in digital and boxed physical form. You can pre-order on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Rockstar Games Store and major retailers. Up to date prices and links are on our pre-order page. A note on the physical copy: the box holds a download code, not a game disc.

The pre-order bonus: Vintage Vice City Pack

Anyone who pre-orders, or buys before November 20, 2026, on any edition, gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, a set themed on classic Vice City. Confirmed contents:

• a ‘55 Vapid Stanier sedan with a garage in Ocean Beach;
• vintage outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia;
• a weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti’s famous tropical shirt.

Digital pre-orders also include one free month of GTA+.

What the Ultimate Edition adds

In short, the Ultimate adds to Jason and Lucia’s story:

• exclusive vehicles: ‘95 Grotti Cheetah, ‘67 Vapid Dominator Buggy (with the Paradise Garage), the Shitzu Squalo boat, the Dinka Enduro motorcycle, the Crest Kayak and the Vapid Ganado pickup;
• exclusive weapons: the Hawk & Little Morgan revolver in a “his and hers” pair, plus the custom Girardi ES9 (Jason) and Klose K17 (Lucia) pistols;
• five shops only Ultimate owners can enter: Rideout Customs (car tuning), One-Eyed Willie’s (off-road mods), Sara’s Unisex Salon, Stock 305 (clothing) and Electric Fang Tattoo (tattoos);
• two extra activities: a classic car collection commissioned by the character Wyman and a raid on a local gang’s store.

Ultimate content unlocks gradually, chapter by chapter. Standard owners can move up to the Ultimate later through a paid upgrade.

Preload and launch

• Preload: from November 12, 2026, one week before launch, for digital pre-orders.
• Launch: Thursday, November 19, 2026.
• Platforms: PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version announced for launch.

Why the date is November 19

November 19, 2026 is the result of two official delays: from the original 2025 target to May 26, 2026 (announced in 2025), and then to November 19, 2026. Since that date was set there have been no further public delays, and the June pre-order opening confirms it. The full timeline of announcements is on our GTA 6 history page.

What is NOT confirmed

For honesty, here is what circulates online but is not official, so we do not treat it as fact:

• The install size: Rockstar has not announced how much space the game needs. The figures going around (120 to 200 GB, or higher) are estimates, not official data.
• A PC version: never announced. The “2027-2028” windows are only guesses based on previous games.
• Collector’s or disc editions: at launch there are only Standard and Ultimate, and the physical box holds a code, not a disc.

How much does GTA 6 cost?

The Standard Edition is 79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is 99.99. These are the only two editions.
