A month from launch, one emoji is enough to set off alarms. Shirrako, a YouTuber who posts full games from start to finish, put a palm tree on X. That was all it took for many fans to think he already had a copy of GTA 6, and that spoilers were close.

Why he in particular is scary

The fear has a reason. Shirrako is known for uploading game endings as soon as they come out, sometimes before most players get there: according to Notebookcheck it happened with Elden Ring and several recent games, and in 2018 with the ending of Red Dead Redemption 2. If someone like him had GTA 6 early, the risk of story spoilers would be real.

Why it probably means nothing

A palm tree on X is an interpretation, not proof. And there is a simple argument: anyone who gets a review copy signs a non-disclosure agreement, and a creator who broke it with a public hint would risk never getting anything from Rockstar again. In a year full of leaks, it is hard to imagine a studio more careful than Rockstar about who gets the game.

Are press copies going out?

Behind the noise there is a more solid rumor: according to insider NateTheHate, review copies reach outlets by the end of October. We lined everything up, including the embargo dates going around, in our story on when GTA 6 reviews come out. Even if copies really go out, nobody has confirmed that Shirrako is on the list.

How to avoid spoilers until November 19

Mute keywords on X and Instagram: “GTA 6 ending”, “GTA 6 finale”, “Jason Lucia spoiler”.

Distrust headlines promising “the ending revealed”: they are often made up, but not always.
