How much is GTA 6: price by edition and country, Standard and Ultimate

GTA 6 costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the US, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S alike. In the UK it is £69.99 and £89.99. Below you will find the price table by country, what it costs to upgrade to Ultimate later, how the boxed copy fits in, and what is still unclear.

GTA 6 prices by edition and country

Three things to keep in mind when reading the table:

• PS5 and Xbox cost the same. There is no price gap between the two consoles on the digital stores, in any of the countries we checked.
• US and Canadian prices are before tax. Store list prices in North America exclude sales tax, which is added at checkout and varies by state or province. UK, European and Australian prices already include VAT or GST.
• Converting currencies tells you little. Prices are set market by market, so the UK’s £69.99 is simply the price chosen for that market, not a conversion of the dollar figure.

Standard plus upgrade, or Ultimate upfront: same total

On the Xbox Store, the Ultimate Edition Upgrade sells for $20 / £20, exactly the gap between the two editions. Buying Standard and upgrading later therefore costs the same as buying Ultimate on day one: $99.99 or £89.99 in total.

On PlayStation Store the upgrade listing exists, but on October 4, 2026 it was not yet purchasable and showed no price. Rockstar’s own store says the upgrade can be bought from PlayStation Store at any time; the PlayStation price still has to be read once that listing opens.

The practical upside is that starting with Standard costs you nothing extra. If halfway through the story you decide you want the exclusive vehicles and shops, you pay the difference and not a cent more.

What the boxed copy costs

The Ultimate Edition is digital only, so stores only stock the Standard. The box does not contain a disc but a download code, which is why it comes out early enough to preload; the consequences are covered in the news on the code-in-box and region lock. Retail box prices are set by each retailer and can move at any time, so check the listing on the day you order.

Deals: what happened, and what still applies

The lowest price seen on an official Italian channel was €64.99, through a €15 Amazon Italy coupon on orders over €75. It ran from September 1 to 4, 2026 and has ended: the full story is in the Amazon discount news. No discount on GTA 6 pre-orders shows up on the Sony and Microsoft digital stores.

What the price includes

Both editions, when pre-ordered or bought before November 20, 2026, include the Vintage Vice City Pack, and the store listings also mention one month of GTA+ and a seven-day preload. Ultimate adds the exclusive vehicles, weapons, shops and activities of the upgrade, listed item by item on our pre-order hub. The story is identical in both.

The Vice City Collection: $399.99, game not included

The only GTA 6 product above $100 is not an edition of the game. The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection is a collector’s box sold only on the Rockstar Store at $399.99 (€399.99 on the Italian store), with eleven merchandise items and no copy of the game, which you buy separately. What is still uncertain

• The PC price. No PC version has been announced, so there is no price: any figure you see is made up. Rockstar’s porting track record is in the GTA 6 on PC news.
• The upgrade on PlayStation. It is $20 on Xbox; the PS Store price is not shown yet.
• Other markets. We only listed countries verified on official stores. Anywhere else, your local store listing is the reference.
• Future deals. No official store has announced a launch discount, and retailer coupons cannot be predicted.
