GTA 6's $399.99 Vice City Collection from Rockstar doesn't include the game
On September 24, 2026 Rockstar opened pre-orders for The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a GTA 6 collector’s box sold only through the Rockstar Store. It holds eleven items, from Oakley sunglasses to a Macca the Gator figure, costs $399.99, and comes with a detail the listing states outright: the game isn’t in it. Anyone who wants GTA 6 has to buy it separately.
The game’s editions are still two, Standard and Ultimate. This sits alongside them and looks like a collector’s edition, but it isn’t one in the classic sense: no disc, no code, no digital content. It’s merchandise, at the premium end.
What’s in the box

The map poster is the item most relevant to anyone following this site. We don’t know whether it matches the in-game map or is a decorative illustration, and we won’t until someone has one in hand.
The game is sold separately
The listing says it in one line: the game is sold separately. Anyone who wants both the collection and the game has to make two purchases. The collection adds nothing in game either: the listing names only physical items. It ships November 19, it doesn’t arrive November 19
Rockstar gives November 19, 2026 as the ship date, the same day the game launches. That’s when it leaves, not when it lands: depending on where you are, delivery comes days later. If you want to play on launch day, count on the game, not the box; the day one guide covers that.
Sales run while supplies last, as the announcement’s own title says. Rockstar hasn’t said how many units exist.
Who is Macca the Gator
In its announcement on X, Rockstar describes the collection as “inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator”. That’s a piece of the game world nobody knew about: Leonida has a TV show starring an alligator, popular enough to have its own merchandise inside the fiction, and with this collection outside it too.
Beyond the name, we know nothing about the show: not its format, nor whether it can be watched in game the way TV shows could in earlier GTAs. The same goes for Chunkee the Manatee, who appears in the key art and on the shot glass. The same illustration also features a seaplane and a flamingo, two recurring images of Leonida we already cover in the wiki (the Keys seaplane and the flamingo), but promotional key art says nothing about what will be in the game.
