The map of Leonida: every confirmed GTA 6 area
Leonida is the state where GTA 6 takes place: a Florida reinvented by Rockstar that goes well beyond Vice City alone. Through the trailers and the official site, six areas have been confirmed, each with a distinct identity. Here is what we know about each one, speculation-free.
One caveat before starting: the exact layout of the areas on the map has not been revealed. What follows summarizes what official materials show about each area. On our interactive map you will find a stylized representation that will fill up with real data from November 19, 2026.
Vice City
Leonida’s criminal capital and the direct heir of the city fans have known since 2002. It is a coastal metropolis inspired by Miami: packed beaches, art deco, neon, nightlife and stark social contrasts. It is the most shown area in the trailers, between the waterfront, residential neighborhoods and busy streets. It will almost certainly be the heart of Jason and Lucia’s story.
Leonida Keys
A chain of islands connected by bridges at the state’s southern tip, inspired by the Florida Keys. It is Jason’s home turf: official material describes him as a former soldier who ended up here working for local traffickers. Expect boats, lighthouses, motels on the water and shady business between one island and the next.
Grassrivers
Rockstar’s take on the Everglades: endless wetlands, channels, airboats and alligators. It is the wildest natural environment in the state, appearing in official materials with marshes and dense vegetation. For explorers, it promises to be the most atmospheric and unpredictable part of the map.
Port Gellhorn
A faded coastal town inspired by the Florida panhandle, with echoes of places like Panama City. Official materials show washed-out motels, garages, small-town nightclubs and an economy running on expedients. It is Vice City’s opposite: no glamour, plenty of rust.
Ambrosia
An industrial area tied to sugar processing, inspired by Florida’s agricultural inland around Lake Okeechobee. Smokestacks, crop fields and a working-class community: in official materials it is the state’s most blue-collar area, perfect for smuggling stories far from the coastal spotlight.
Mount Kalaga National Park
A national park of forests and ridges in the state’s north, inspired by the landscapes of the American Southeast. Trails, off-road driving, watchtowers and wildlife: it is Leonida’s answer to GTA 5’s Mount Chiliad, and like it, promises hidden corners and mysteries for those who wander off the beaten path.
How big is Leonida?
Rockstar has not released official map dimensions. The six confirmed areas, however, cover a wider variety of environments than any previous entry: metropolis, islands, wetlands, coastal towns, industrial inland and mountains.
