The last strip of Leonida before the open ocean: a chain of islands stitched together by causeways that seem to never end, a declared echo of the Florida Keys’ Overseas Highway. The official site’s aerial screenshot says it all in one image: turquoise water, a seaplane flying low and the road cutting across the sea.
This is Jason Duval’s home turf: here the former soldier scrapes by running errands for local traffickers, between motels on the water, fast boats and business best not examined too closely. The tone was set by the official materials of May 2025: postcard paradise up front, shadow economy behind.
In the August 27, 2026 Extended Look that seabed is seen in motion: Game Informer describes a full diving sequence, with one of the protagonists exploring what the outlet cautiously calls “some kind of underwater cave area”. On land the Keys have another official image that became famous, the iguana crossing the road in front of a mobility scooter.
For explorers it promises a dimension of its own: island-hopping by boat, lighthouses, and that frontier feeling the Grassrivers wetlands share but translate into mud. The Keys are already marked on the interactive map, waiting for launch-day data; the regions guide lines them up with the rest of the state.
