GTA 6 hits TV: the NBA ad, minus the shower kiss
GTA 6 has moved from the web to television. On October 20, 2026, on the NBA season’s opening night, NBC aired the game’s first ad: it is the October 15 Launch Trailer, recut for American TV.
What disappears and what runs longer
People who compared it with the online trailer found few differences, all pointing the same way: fewer racy scenes, more time for the rest.

Why the cuts
Rockstar has explained nothing. The most common reading is American TV standards: guns, robberies and chases all stay, while the kiss and a few details go. It is the same trailer with the same shootouts, just made for prime time.
The missing Xbox logo is easier to explain: the ad is part of the PlayStation campaign, the same one that opens the Launch Trailer with the PS5 brand. GTA 6 still launches on November 19 on Xbox Series X|S too.
