Mud Dog Mike is a voice before he is a character: he is Back Country Radio’s reporter, GTA 6’s country station. Rockstar introduced him in the October 8, 2026 Newswire as the station’s “roving reporter, swamp meteorologist” and, with a small-town-radio jab, as the “not-so-secret lover” of Delta Dawne, one of the two hosts.
The airboat is no random detail: it is the signature craft of the Florida wetlands, and the station’s official artwork shows the silhouette of a man with a guitar standing on an airboat, with an alligator just under the surface. Rockstar has not said that figure is Mike, but the scene fits him well.
Back Country Radio is GTA 6's country station for the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn: hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, with Mud Dog Mike reporting from the swamps.
