GTA 6 voice actors: who is actually in the cast
Who plays Jason and Lucia? It is one of the most searched GTA 6 questions, and the honest answer is shorter than the cast lists floating around suggest: Rockstar has not announced a single name. One actor has said on the record that he is in the game. For everyone else, the leads included, there are only theories. This guide sorts them by how solid they are, with the source next to every name.
What Rockstar has said: no names
The official site introduces the main characters, from Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos to Brian Heder and Cal Hampton, but none of the profiles credits a performer. Neither the trailers nor the August 27 Extended Look added any credits.
That is business as usual. Rockstar rarely markets its games through their actors: the full casts of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 live in the end credits, and the games press expects the same for GTA 6. There is a practical reason too, which the Lucia case below makes painfully clear: an announced name becomes a target.
One note on wording. “Voice actor” undersells the job. In Rockstar’s recent games the leads are usually performance capture actors, recording voice, body and face together, which is why fans hunt for physical resemblances and not just vocal ones. Rockstar has not described its process for GTA 6, so treat that as an expectation based on earlier games.
The radio voices: the first confirmed names
One part of the GTA 6 cast does have official names: the radio stations. On October 8, 2026 Rockstar presented six stations on the Newswire with the names of the characters who host them, and the same day the people playing them were announced through Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, with statements from the artists themselves. By the rule we use below, that is a real confirmation.
These are radio voices, not story characters, and here “voice actor” is literal: no performance capture, just the voice on air. Each station has its own page in the wiki’s Media section, and the full picture is in our news on GTA 6’s radio stations.
Stephen Root: the only one who said it himself
In mid-September 2026 Stephen Root, the veteran character actor and voice of Bill on King of the Hill, was asked about GTA 6 in a video interview with the Associated Press. His answer: “Yeah, you’re gonna see me in there.” He added that fans had already recognized his voice in the early promotional material, largely thanks to King of the Hill.
Jason and Lucia: names in circulation, no confirmation
The community has had two names for the leads for years. Here is exactly what they rest on.
After the Extended Look, both names showed up on IMDb under the video’s listing. That does not upgrade them: IMDb is user-editable and does not require a source to add a credit, a point SVG made as well. An IMDb credit on an unreleased game, with no statement behind it, is worth exactly as much as the post that inspired it.
The Lucia case: a confirmation that never happened
This is the clearest example of a rumor turning into “news” without ever being checked, so here it is in order.
- August 27-28. Right after the Extended Look, several sites run headlines saying Manni L. Perez confirmed on Instagram that she voices Lucia. The statement is paraphrased, never quoted word for word.
- August 29. TheGamer finds that the Instagram account active under her name at the time is a fake, with more than 50,000 followers and posts built from AI-generated text and images, including a fabricated childhood photo. Her real account had been deactivated long before, after a wave of harassment.
- September 1. Perez returns to Instagram on her own account and thanks people for reporting the AI impostor accounts. She says nothing about the role.
- September 23. TheGamer repeats it: Perez has never confirmed playing Lucia, and fans read every move she makes on social media as a clue.
Perez may well be Lucia: the theory is old and consistent. But as things stand it is a theory, and the “confirmed” headlines from late August have no verifiable source behind them. Earlier still, in spring 2026, a few social accounts styled as outlets announced both her and Rourke as “exclusive” confirmations without citing anything.
The supporting cast
For the rest of the cast the picture is thinner still.
Other names circulate for Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista and the Real Dimez, pulled from resumes, LinkedIn profiles or plain resemblance. We are not listing them: there is no statement and no press source that goes beyond guesswork, and these are working actors under non-disclosure agreements. We will add them, character by character, once there is something to cite.
How to tell a real confirmation from a fake one
Until the end credits, a few rules cover every cast name:
- Counts as confirmation: an announcement or credits from Rockstar; an on-the-record statement from the actor to a recognizable outlet, on video or in a bylined interview, as with Root.
- Does not count: an IMDb credit, a resume or LinkedIn profile, a voice that sounds “identical”, an unverified social account, an “exclusive” post with no source, a like or a follow.
- Separate who from what: even when an actor confirms they are in the game, the character can still be an inference. Root is the example.
And one point that has nothing to do with verification: the people named as the voice of a character did not sign up for this hunt. The Perez case, with one account shut down after harassment and another opened by an impostor, shows what it costs the actors.
Is GTA 6 dubbed into other languages?
No. What you will hear is this English-language cast: GTA 6 ships with English audio only, while subtitles and menus cover 13 languages. That matches GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, and the full list is in our GTA 6 languages guide. For who the two leads are as characters, rather than who plays them, see our guide to Jason and Lucia.
In short
- No performer has been announced for the story characters: the full cast will most likely arrive with the end credits.
- The radio voices are confirmed since October 8, 2026: among others Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Burna Boy, Robyn and two members of Slayer.
- Stephen Root is the only actor who has confirmed he is in the game, in an AP interview; Brian Heder is a very strong inference, not his own words.
- Dylan Rourke for Jason and Manni L. Perez for Lucia are fan theories: plausible, never confirmed.
- The late-August Perez “confirmation” on Instagram has no source: a fake account in her name was active at the time.
- IMDb is not a source: anyone can edit it.
- No dubbing: English audio, with subtitles and menus in 13 languages.
Frequently asked questions
Who are the GTA 6 voice actors?
For the story characters, officially nobody knows: Rockstar has not released names, and the only actor who has personally confirmed his involvement is Stephen Root, whom the press links to Brian Heder. For the radio, names do exist: Bad Bunny, RaiNao, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen, Burna Boy, Palms Trax, Kerry King and Tom Araya, Robyn, Alex Consani, Trick Daddy and Trina host the six announced stations.
Who voices Lucia in GTA 6?
Not confirmed. The name that has circulated for years is Manni L. Perez, because of the resemblance in voice and looks, but she has never confirmed the role and Rockstar has said nothing. The supposed Instagram confirmation from late August 2026 has no source: a fake account in her name was active at the time.
Who voices Jason in GTA 6?
Not confirmed. Fans point to Dylan Rourke because of the resemblance in voice and features, but neither he nor Rockstar has confirmed it.
Is Stephen Root in GTA 6?
Yes, he said so himself in a video interview with the Associated Press in September 2026. He did not name the character: Brian Heder is an inference by the press and fans, very likely but still waiting on the credits.
Who are the GTA 6 radio DJs?
The six announced stations are hosted by real artists: Bad Bunny and RaiNao (Cocoteo FM), Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey (Back Country Radio), Burna Boy and Palms Trax (AfroBank FM), Kerry King and Tom Araya (The Chamber 106.6), Robyn and Alex Consani (Flash FM), Trick Daddy and Trina (Dirty South Classics).
Does GTA 6 have voice acting in other languages?
No. The audio is English only for every language; the other 12 supported languages get subtitles and menus. The details are in our GTA 6 languages guide.
When will the full GTA 6 cast be known?
Rockstar has not said. For GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 the full list was in the end credits, so the most likely date is the November 19, 2026 launch. We will update this guide and the character pages as names are confirmed.
