Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is GTA 6’s official music release: 34 original songs, written for the game and published in partnership with Atlantic Records. Rockstar announced it on September 17, 2026, with release set for November 19, 2026, the same day as the game. The official description frames the record as an attempt to capture the “electric energy” of the world of Vice City and the state of Leonida.
What separates this from a traditional GTA soundtrack sits entirely in the word “original”. The series has always been built on licensing, existing songs bought and put on air across the game’s radio stations; GTA 5 brought the first original score, released in three volumes across music, score and a radio selection. The album is not an instrumental score: it is 34 songs commissioned from chart artists and distributed the way a pop record is, with singles up front and vinyl on pre-order. The score exists, but it is a separate thing: since October 15, 2026 Rockstar names Justice as composers of the game’s original score (see below).
Rockstar made six available on announcement day, across all the major streaming services:
| Artist | Song |
|---|---|
| Yung Lean | That’s It (feat. Future and Metro Boomin) |
| Travis Scott | RHYNO (produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) |
| CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy | Sexy Magic |
| Morgan Wallen | Last Thing You Need |
| Rauw Alejandro | Macacoa 2000 |
| Keith Richards | Bright Lights, Big City |
The genres do not resemble each other in the slightest: Swedish rap, trap produced by Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, country, reggaeton, French house inside an ensemble track, and the Rolling Stones’ guitarist. Rockstar describes a “genre-defying” roster, and the choice of these six calling cards states it openly. Rockstar’s music page later added two more singles, bringing the count to eight:
| Artist | Song |
|---|---|
| Fuerza Regida | Suzuki |
| Cardi B | Don’t Chart |
The ninth arrived with the October 15, 2026 Launch Trailer, which debuted it as the video’s music:
| Artist | Song |
|---|---|
| Justice | Flower in a Hurricane (feat. Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard) |
As of October 15, 2026 the other 25 songs had not been announced.
The album’s Spotify page already exposes all 34 slots of the final running order: 28 are placeholders with no title and no preview, listed as “Track 1”, “Track 3” and so on, while the six released singles sit at fixed positions. That’s It is second, RHYNO fourth, Sexy Magic fifth, Last Thing You Need eighth, Macacoa 2000 eleventh, and Keith Richards’s Bright Lights, Big City thirty-second, closing the record. These positions are the ones exposed as verified on September 17, 2026 and can change before release, but they say the running order is already settled: what is missing is the announcements, not the songs.
The album can be pre-saved on streaming services, and pre-ordered in three physical formats through its dedicated site and various retailers. Prices are the official channel’s, in US dollars: $19.98 for the CD with a booklet in a jewel case, $49.98 for the standard vinyl (two transparent magenta discs with blue splatter), $124.98 for the limited edition, with discs filled with blue liquid and exclusive artwork. Nothing official has been said about pricing in other regions.
For the musical context inside the game, the wiki keeps the Vice City scene in separate entries: the Only Raw Records label around Dre’Quan Priest, the rap duo Real Dimez and veteran Boobie Ike are characters in the game, not artists on the album: two planes the announcement does not mix.
