GTA 6 radio: six stations, Bad Bunny and Lana Del Rey on air, and podcasts
On October 8, 2026 Rockstar turned the volume up: a Newswire post introduced six GTA 6 radio stations, each with a preview of about two minutes on the official music page. Alongside the stations came two system features the series has never had: on-demand podcasts, and the option to listen to everything on foot, through headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia’s phones.

Three screenshots came with the announcement: besides the overpass, the music page carries two night scenes.

The six stations
In the Newswire the hosts appear under their character names (El Martillo, Delta Dawne, DJ Kerry). Who plays them was announced the same day through Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, with statements from the artists themselves.
| Station | Genre | In-game hosts | Played by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cocoteo FM | modern Latin | El Martillo and La Gata | Bad Bunny and RaiNao |
| Back Country Radio | renegade country | MW and Delta Dawne | Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey |
| AfroBank FM | African music | Burna and Palmsy | Burna Boy and Palms Trax |
| The Chamber 106.6 | metal | DJ Kerry and DJ Tom | Kerry King and Tom Araya (Slayer) |
| Flash FM | pop | Robyn and Alex | Robyn and Alex Consani |
| Dirty South Classics | Southern rap and hip-hop | Trick and Trina | Trick Daddy and Trina |
Cocoteo FM

Leonida’s home for Latin music, from bachata and merengue to dembow and reggaeton. The tagline is in Spanish: el party que nunca se apaga. Putting Bad Bunny behind the mic shows how much the Latin audience matters for a game set in Rockstar’s version of Florida.
Back Country Radio

Outlaw country for the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and beyond. Next to MW and Delta Dawne there is a third character: Mud Dog Mike, “roving reporter, swamp meteorologist” and Delta’s not-so-secret lover, checking in from his airboat. He is voiced by Jeremy Dufrene, Lana Del Rey’s husband: a joke that only works because it is real.
AfroBank FM

From 20th-century African classics and undiscovered gems to amapiano and 3-step. The Newswire pitches it with gbedu, Nigerian slang for dance music.
The Chamber 106.6

Classic metal “from the ’80s and beyond”, hosted by two members of Slayer. It is the station that most resembles V-Rock, the rock station of 2002’s Vice City, although Rockstar has not drawn that line itself.
Flash FM

The only returning name: Flash FM was the pop station of GTA: Vice City (2002) and Vice City Stories, and the Newswire calls it “the Vice City institution”. Back then it played the ’80s; now it plays today’s pop, with Swedish singer Robyn and model Alex Consani.
Dirty South Classics

Southern rap and hip-hop classics with Trick Daddy and Trina, two Miami names: the scene this music comes from is the same one Vice City portrays.
The songs heard in the previews
The official clips are not just voices: songs play in them too. Push Square identified them all, and grouped by station they give the first piece of a real playlist.
- Cocoteo FM: Bad Bunny, EoO; Axel Rulay with Farruko and El Alfa, Si Es Trucho Es Trucho (Remix); Romeo Santos and El Chaval de la Bachata, Canalla.
- Back Country Radio: David Allan Coe, Need a Little Time Off for Bad Behavior; Loretta Lynn, Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ On Your Mind); Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings, The Conversation.
- AfroBank FM: Asake, Joha; Pat Thomas with Ebo Taylor, Gye Wani; DJ Lag and Robot Boii with Kamo Mphela, Shay’sana.
- The Chamber 106.6: Black Sabbath, I; Pantera, I’m Broken; Slayer, Raining Blood.
- Flash FM: Charli xcx, Good Ones; MGMT, Electric Feel; Zara Larsson and PinkPantheress, Midnight Sun (Girls Trip).
- Dirty South Classics: David Banner with Lil’ Flip, Like A Pimp; JT Money with Solé, Who Dat; DJ Khaled with Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull, Born N Raised.
Radio and album: two different things
When Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album in September, the link with the radio was left open. Now the split is clear: the album collects 34 original songs written for the game, while the stations are built mostly on licensed music, from Loretta Lynn classics to Charli xcx hits. The music page itself keeps them in two separate sections.
In the album section, meanwhile, the playable singles are up to eight: alongside September’s six there are now Suzuki by Fuerza Regida and Don’t Chart by Cardi B. The wiki entry for the album keeps count.
What listening on foot changes
In every previous GTA the radio was a car thing: you stepped out and the music cut. Headphones linked to the smartphone change that basic habit. A walk on the beach or a trip through a mall can have its own soundtrack, and on-demand podcasts, which do not run live like a station, can be picked up whenever you want. Rockstar has not said how many podcasts there will be or what they cover.
